Chair, Chair on the wall.

THIS is so cool! Hack a chair, hang it and call it a coat rack. Or a scarf rack. Or a beach towel rack. Or just a cool half chair. Whatever you call it, I love it.

Queen Elisabeth’s Take:

Pop-Top Fabulous!

I don’t know what I love most about this teen – that she has the skill and patience to make this awesome dress, that she’s clever enough to design a drool-worthy ensemble out of pop-tops and ribbon, or that this girl has the guts and panache to stay away from the rack and ROCK this original art! Ok, yeah, I know what I love the most, and it’s the latter. Kudos.

Now I want a pop-top throw. Anyone?

I just found you the PERFECT Mother’s Day gift.

I stumbled on this blog, Mean Mommy Academy, and imagine my surprise when I discovered that she is helping support one of my all-time charities – Love Without Boundaries.

Love Without Boundaries provides amazing and much-needed assistance to orphaned children in China by means of medical help, education, placement into foster families, orphanage assistance, etc. These children are receiving these resources through private donations.

[INSERT PERSONAL STORY HERE: My son was removed from a Chinese orphanage and placed into a foster family as a toddler, thanks to LWB. I have no doubt (and I mean NO FREAKING DOUBT) that this organization saved his little spirit. I would walk a million miles on hot coals for this group. Thankfully, they haven't asked me to, yet.]

Oh Becca……where are you going with this?

A $30 donation to LWB gets you this charming bracelet and a card explaining your donation. But what it really gives is $30 in humanitarian aid to kids in China. This is my Mother’s Day gift this year. And my mother will want nothing more than to know we are giving back to the organization that gave so, so much to my little guy.

Finally! A use for Easter peeps!

NEWS!

New gift boutique coming to North Central Phoenix! No, I’m not starting it. (Are you crazy?) But I am moderately involved, and there just might be a mini Embellish gift section. A-ha! Fun, no??

More details as they come.

I’d Love You to Like Me.

Team Hope Chest

Ooooh, Fancy Easter Eggs.

Ok, I am really not crafty. As in not at all. True statement: if it’s available, I’d really rather just buy it.

BUT…I fell upon this blog, and love, love, love these craft Easter eggs.

From Crafting A Green World.

Chances of me actually doing this are slim to none. So someone else try it and let me know how it goes. Seriously.

Looking for Feedback.

As part of Team Hope Chest’s fundraising efforts (we need to raise $2300 each), we are thinking of making and selling t-shirts.

This is just a mock-up – if it looked awesome (which it will), would you buy one? Yes? What would you pay, knowing that is all goes to the 3-Day for a Cure?

Walking the WALK.

I’m ready to WALK! Now I need $2300. Wanna help?
